Growing up before growing old
We men tend to have a dilemma in integrating our spiritual lives with our lives at work and home. We may wind up playing out several different identities and never be quite sure of who we are. We become like icebergs, hiding 90% of who we are from those around us and sometimes, hiding from ourselves.
The problem with icebergs is that they sink ships and destroy lives. Our retreat will deal with the things below the surface that sink us in life, sending us into depression, addiction, isolation, etc.? We will examine the values we have bought into and whether they serve us or not. We will also explore what it would look like to be healthy and ways to integrate our faith in all areas of our life. There will be time for prayer, worship, sharing, communion, and time alone.
Men of Prayer
I encourage every man in our church to join us. There is great power in men gathering to seek the Lord. I know that you will be deeply affected.

Each year a group of guys begins the retreat on Friday morning with a round of golf.

The idea is to start the retreat a little early by hanging out together in golf carts.
We have all levels of players, so think about joining us. It will cost around $50 and we’ll probably play in the Ventura area.
The course is TBA. We have limited space, so sign up immediately.
OR… if you are not a golfer, make your own plans to hang out on Friday with a couple of brothers.
