Update from Oaxaca, Mexico

03/27/06

Pastor Bill has sent us an e-mail with the latest news from Oaxaca. Our missions team has been very busy with medical c The Mission in Oaxaca, Mexico linics and ministry in the mountains.

==============================

Hey guys,
The trip is awesome. We hit the ground running and have already done 5 medical clinics in 3 locations. I preached a Friay night and Sunday morning service in two different churches. The Holy Spirit showed up. The team has been great. Everybody is such a servant. We came back to Tlocalula to rest today, but we are doing another clinic for those at the mission.

Quiouitani was pretty wild. We were on the side of a mountain with about 40 believers. The area is hostile to Christians and many have been killed or had their property seized. The church planter is a young single gal, Emilia who is in her thirties. We left there for a town called Bramaduro where it was a much more friendy area. We had deaf, blind, some very sick children. The people were totally blessed. Then we went to a school near Miahuatlan and did our last clinic. We left for Tlocolula 3 hours, and drove though a huge thunderstorm. We have been laughing a lot. I had to sleep with David L in a double bed Saturday night with spiders crawling around. More than a few jokes came out of that.

FYI' Last night I got sick. I guess David L sent an e-mail home about it a while ago. I wanted you to know I have a slight fever and diarrhea, nothing serious. No stomach pains or cramps. I am exhausted, though. Dr. Avitia is taking care of me. I'm walking around and will spend the day reading and napping.

We leave early in the morning for Juxtlahuaca. 7 hour drive.

You may not hear from us until Friday.
Bill
