Is your child ready for baptism?
The Bible clearly says that believers need to be baptized, but it isn’t completely clear about when that should happen. On one hand we read in the new testament that adults were baptized after making a commitment to follow Christ, but on the other hand we also know that entire households were saved and baptized together. Surely there were children and babies being baptized with their families.
I generally recommend saving baptism for when a child can best understand the symbolism and importance of the event -usually 9 years and up, but if they are younger and show an interest in being baptized then I leave the decision up to you.
It is highly recomended that every child who wants to be baptized take the Baptism Class.
The Children's Ministry offers a class for kids once a year, the week before Easter. Please call the office for dates and times.
